A waxed jacket is a timeless piece meant to last a lifetime and help you through unpredictable weather. However, to keep its water repelling attributes for years, some care is needed.
The jacket should never be washed in a washing machine, be dry cleaned, tumble dried, or ironed since it will permanently damage the wax coating. Moreover, hot water, soap, direct sunlight, and heat should be avoided.
We recommend that you clean the jacket by firstly gently brushing off any visible dirt or excess wax on the jacket. When the first step is done, spot cleans the jacket using a cold-damped towel. If necessary, use cold water and a sponge to gently wipe down the outside of the jacket. Once this step is finished, hang the jacket to dry. It is always a good idea to reproof the jacket by re-waxing it. We recommend annual reproofing to maintain the jacket's water repelling.
