Airing the garment
We usually wash our garments more than needed, which reduces the garment's lifespan and negatively affects our environment since we indirectly waste both water and energy. In some instances, washing damages the self-cleaning attributes some materials have, for example, Cashmere, Merino wool, and Lambswool. By hanging the garment out for some fresh air, unpleasant ordure will be removed, and the quality and shape of the product will not be affected.
Remove stains before wash
We recommend treating the stain right away instead of tossing it in the washing machine. Spot stain treatment has a better effect on the stain since it will be challenging to remove it the longer you wait. Spot treatment further positively impacts the environment since less energy and water will be used. We recommend using "gall soap" or similar products to efficiently remove stains.
Use a wool comb
A wool comb will help remove pilling, dirt, and reawaken the natural oils that help the self-cleaning of a wool garment. We recommend our cashmere comb for garments in merino wool and cashmere, which you can find here.
